God knows it's not my favourite city, but when it came to leaving London last week, I felt quite emotional indeed. My final days there were spent catching up with Machteld and Dieneke (quality Dutchies also away from home), playing with Gavin and Steven (some lovely, lovely Englishmen) and exploring the very best parts of the city. I also managed to pick up a few treasures for family and friends, drank much, much tea, and finally learnt how to make the most sugary and morish Irish creation that is "fifteens."But it is goodbye now to the UK and Europe, and home again for me (I've been back a week infact)...to summer and unemployment.
